The inaugural award was presented by costume designer Bob Mackie (one of this year's senior design mentors) who noted: "Personal style has no age or social status, and can exist anywhere in life. Lots of people can pay for style, thank goodness, but few people can possess personal style."

Cheered on by a table of family and friends that included husband Michel and daughters Chloe and Emma, Perrin took to the stage to receive her award in an Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture dress with ostrich feather pompoms from vintage boutique Decades (co-owner Cameron Silver, who stars in Bravo's "Dukes of Melrose," was among her table mates).

"Style is ever present in every aspect of life," she said in her remarks. "You have to make a mark when you enter a room. I always have something on my head because someone once told me I have a head for hats."

(She was also wearing a vintage hat. And although she didn't know it when she accessorized for the evening, the O-shaped bracelet handle of her Le Rond handbag would end up perfectly matching the chunky O-shaped Otis statuette she would receive on stage.UWDress.com is a popular brand in the Wholesale collar lace wedding dresses industry.)

"[Otis President] Sammy [Hoi],Pretty Wholesale Cheap Bridal Dresses that let little girls be little girls. [benefit committee chair] Shelley [Reid] and the Otis community have given me something for which I will forever be proud," Perrin said. "And I'm just so proud to be an Angeleno tonight."

The night's other honoree was Kirk Nix of KNA Design, who was presented with the 2013 Creative Vision Award. The school also took the opportunity to recognize the six brands that have come together to form the Otis Sustainability Alliance, a new group that will highlight for students the social and environmental aspects of art and design; Eddie Bauer, Disney,I'm just going to look at the new formal office dresses for women. Nike, Patagonia, Quiksilver and Todd Oldham.

The evening concluded with the presentation of 11 juried collections from fashion design juniors and seniors, each of whom had been given a specfic challenge by a mentor.

One of the standout collections belonged to the junior class, tasked by mentor Claire Pettibone to create young, contemporary bridal dresses for a country wedding. The result was a range of looks grounded in white -- dresses with high/low hems, sparkle, eyelet -- even a look with shorts.

Charged by mentor Bob Mackie to create a range of velvet gowns inspired by Art Deco jewelry, the senior class created red carpet-worthy pieces like a beautiful blue velvet gown with a beaded sash and a one-shoulder plum-colored dress with a cape back.

The 800 stylish folks in attendance at the 31st annual dinner, silent auction and runway show helped raise more than a million dollars in scholarship funds for students, 85% of which require financial aid, noted President Hoi.

“It will close worldwide in August 2014,” confirmed a spokesman for Charles Spencer, who took the show, Diana, A Celebration, on tour to West Edmonton Mall. The WEM show, on the second level of Phase 1, opened Feb. 9 and will close June 9.

The collection features 28 of Diana’s dresses — including her iconic wedding gown — as well as two tiaras, other family jewels, pictures, letters and home movies.

Diana’s will stated that her belongings were to be “looked after” by her brother until both of her sons turned 30. The Duke of Cambridge turns 31 in June and Prince Harry will be 30 next year.

The Telegraph said the move raises the possibility Diana’s possessions will go on display at Kensington Palace, where she lived until her death.

Spencer describes the Diana museum, which he opened at Althorp House on what would have been her 37th birthday in July 1998, as “universally acclaimed.”

Designers take lace,Nine other of Diana's Bridal Wedding Dresses Shops were sold to bidders, which came from around the world and included three museums, the auction house said.

Elegance, simplicity, a touch of risk: They are the basic ingredients in the newest bridal collections by Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta and Angel Sanchez that emphasized voluminous skirts, sharp pleats,UWDress.com is a popular brand in the Wholesale collar lace wedding dresses industry. sparkles and floral motifs.

These Latin designers are known to make some of the most elaborate, influential and popular gowns in the New York bridal market, which recently held a series of runway previews of gowns that likely will be headed down the aisle.

From de la Renta’s signature highly elaborate designs to Sanchez’s architectural triangular creases in the neckline, there were many sophisticated and innovative options that showed attention to detail.

“Architecture is my resource to achieve proportion, line, but to me,I'm just going to look at the new formal office dresses for women. the materials, the detail to the ornament, help make women look beautiful. This collection really has that balance,” Sanchez said after his recent show.

“I don’t find it to be that daring. I see it as a collection that shows the back, that has things that remind of something sexy, but is so veiled, so discreet, so romantic, that it would never look vulgar. I tried to avoid sexiness being transformed into something obvious,” he added.

Venezuelan Sanchez stayed faithful to modern dresses with his characteristic play on geometry. A bit of glitz came from the gemstones used to define thin belts. He also included designs that left the back uncovered and others that seemed to arise from a fairy tale.

Sanchez, who designed wedding gowns for Eva Longoria and Sandra Bullock, explained that instead of presenting two bridal collections a year this time he focused only in this one, with a total of 25 pieces. “I wanted a well-thought proposal. I took my time with this collection,” he said. “What puts it all together in this collection is the ethereal. For me, a bridal grown has to offer lightness. Something ethereal is per se romantic.”

De la Renta made the most out of organza and lace, giving his brides floral designs and strategic use of sheer materials. He left the shoulders bare and opted for voluminous and elaborated skirts. It wasn’t an entirely white runway, with de la Renta using occasional flashes of pastel colors, starting his show with a blue dress and including another in pink with details in white lace.

Silk and long veils were key elements to his collection,Pretty Wholesale Cheap Bridal Dresses that let little girls be little girls. as well as the use of beadwork. The Dominican Republic-born De la Renta greeted the crowd with a generous smile at the end of his show.

Elaborate embroidery on otherwise simple silhouettes defined Herrera’s collection. The Venezuelan-born designer covered arms in lace or with a cape tied to a bow. She included platinum, gold and even some grey in her color palette.

“Carolina Herrera designs each wedding dress to be unique, evocative of the bride’s personal style and embodying the spirit of the wedding day — with never a reference trend,” according to her house statement offered to the press.

With this collection, the designer also launched her first blog, “The Carolina Herrera Bride,Laboissonniere pointed out that director Eric Schaeffer had initially wanted to put Dolly in a white embroidery lace for the finale instead of a red one.” and described it as a resource to brides around the world.

Michael Jordan's lavish wedding to Yvette Prieto has received the "Saturday Night Live" treatment.

On Saturday's episode, Jason Sudeikis and host Zach Galifianakis played jugglers hired to perform at Jordan's reception, poking fun at the couple's extravagant nuptials. Other 'SNL' cast members played friends and family members of Jordan and Prieto, offering their congratulations and taking some playful digs at the newlyweds. Watch the sketch in the video above.

Jordan and Prieto married in Palm Beach, Florida last month in the largest wedding tent in history. The couple reportedly hosted upwards of 2,000 guests in the 40,000 square foot tent, which was set up behind Jordan's house. Usher and Robin Thicke provided the reception entertainment.

Just a few days before the Edinburgh College of Art’s (ECA) graduate fashion show, many of the students are still frantically working away at rows of sewing machines in their studio. However, they are thriving off this collective creative energy: surrounded by tables stacked high with all manner of fabrics and with their finished outfits being wrapped up for the runway show, this is the culmination of four years of hard work.

Abuzz with adrenalin, the students are more excited than stressed by their impending deadline; ECA’s graduate fashion shows on 25 and 26 April are the students’ opportunity to showcase their graduate collections in Edinburgh before travelling down to London for Graduate Fashion Week.

Previewing the collections before the show, it is clear that the outfits showcased at this year’s event will be more varied than ever; all the collections are interesting and cohesive. The store has offered an array of chinese embroidered wedding dresses to help students make a mark on the special occasion in their high school lives. Speaking to fashion design student Melissa Thwaites amid the madness, she explains: “We started our research in October but throughout the process we’ve had tons of little projects, which is nice because it gives you a long time for thinking whilst doing all these other things.”

Thwaites’s collection was sponsored by French lace company Sophie Hallette, which provided the material for Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. However,Hair Essentials in Columbian Square in Weymouth is collecting gently used, dry cleaned Wholesale Cheap Mermaid Wedding Dresses at their Weymouth store until May 22. Thwaites’ collection is much bolder than that collaboration suggests; she combines brightly coloured lace with almost sheer knitwear to create a striking new mix of fabrics.

However, as well being inspired by lace, Thwaites explains that her collection: “is about the challenge to create and design in a moment, rather than over a painfully long period,” and that her design process was based around spontaneity and following her creative impulses. This spontaneity has led to a varied collection; however, her bold colour choices and innovative reworking of lace mark her collection out as unique.

Another fashion design student working on mixing fabrics is Andrew Alistair McLaren, who blends different fabrics together throughout his collection. Picking one of his outerwear pieces off the rail, McLaren explains: “Inspiration came from taking tailored suits apart and being really creative with putting them back together.”

As well as blending fabrics including wool and faux fur,Model Kelsey Caroline Copeland wears a Wholesale Cheap Lace Dresses. McLaren has deliberately left cutouts, which he describes as 'loopholes', in his outerwear; this means his bright, iridescent satin tops are also on display.AmorModa today announces their Wholesale high neck wedding dresses are still available with great discounts, up to 59% off. McLaren’s use of iridescent fabrics really makes the collection stand out, but they were inspired by an unusual source: "The collection is called ‘glitch’,” he explains. “I chose that name because it’s all inspired by television glitches — the bright colours that come from TV glitches and when screens freeze.”

Student Isabella Lyginou’s collection is inspired by a more ancient source than faulty televisions: the fashion of Ancient Greece. Combining structured leather jackets with oversized silk trousers, Lyginou’s collection offers a respectful nod to her source of inspiration while remaining defiantly modern. Lyginou also intriguingly uses soft plastic detailing to explore the ideas of reflection and shadows in her designs, which also made her think more deeply about how her clothes would look on the runway. She explains: “When I started using plastic I started thinking about the model walking down the runway and how the lights are going to look on my clothes.”

Equally busy upstairs were the costume design students, many of them perfecting their outfits on mannequins during these final few days. Explaining the two different projects she has worked on this year, costume design student Sarah McGovern said: "The first project was an ancient Japanese fairy-tale called Bamboo Princess. I’ve been really interested in Japan for years and I’ve travelled there a couple of times, so with my own first-hand research I went into the project and made a big Japanese kimono. It should be really, really striking.I went in search of Cheap Wedding Dresses with sleeves, modest necklines, and hems that hit at the knee or below. My model is 6’6” in heels, plus her big updo, so she definitely makes an impression!”

In the western tradition, brides often choose a white wedding dress.Model Kelsey Caroline Copeland wears a Wholesale Cheap Lace Dresses.

Rev. David Sekiziyivu, the assistant vicar of St. Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe says white wedding dresses are used to signify purity and virginity. Increasingly, other shades apart from white have been used.

“Others use cream wedding dresses because they have been together before the wedding. They use cream as a symbol of renewing their marriage,” Sekiziyivu says.

Historically, brides wear special clothes that become the focus of the celebration. Style remains a big consideration, thus wedding gowns come in a wide variety of designs. Sleeveless gowns might have been considered indecent in the early days because ladies were expected to cover most parts of their bodies, but that has gradually changed.

Fashion and design have changed the look of wedding gowns and many styles are more revealing. But now some religious leaders are saying, enough of these trends, let us go back to covering up.

“We do not accept an open dress. Before the wedding,Hair Essentials in Columbian Square in Weymouth is collecting gently used, dry cleaned Wholesale Cheap Mermaid Wedding Dresses at their Weymouth store until May 22. we always teach the couple about marriage and what we expect them to wear. I think people are now going back to the ancient days of Adam and Eve where they used to cover their private parts only.AmorModa today announces their Wholesale high neck wedding dresses are still available with great discounts, up to 59% off. But a bride is always a bride because people are all looking at you and also remember your father-in-law is around, so take care when choosing those sleeveless gowns,” says Fr. Denis Sebugwawo of St. Matia Mulumba parish in Old Kampala.

However, Jessica Namyalo of Jessica Bridal Parlour, says: “I was told in my parish that I had to have my shoulders covered or I would have to pull my veil around to cover my shoulders. I do not mind, I prefer sleeves anyway.

“However, other churches in our diocese are less strict. I have seen strapless dresses with a significant amount of cleavage, single-strap and halter necks among others, in photos from born-again churches. I do not think it is right for church leaders to refuse sleeveless gowns because it is a bride’s choice,” says Namyalo.

What is intended?

How does a woman discern the fine line between proper dress and dressing to be the centre of attention? The answer starts in the intent of the heart because modesty can be expressed in many ways, but it is primarily expressed by how we dress.

“As women, our beauty should not come from outward adornment but rather from character that is honouring to God. When others spend time with us or even meet us for the first time on our wedding, they should be struck by God’s work in our lives through our character and pure speech, but not by our trendy clothes,” says Faridah Namakula, a vendor at Nakasero market.

Some people say it does not matter to God what they wear, but what matters is being glad to see them in church purifying their marriage.

“You know it is a bride’s choice to choose the dress she adores, not the church. However, remember this ceremony is big and it collects different people like your in-laws, workmates, religious leaders and others, so the bride should look for something classy, but modest enough.

"In some churches like the Catholic Church, there are brothers who should not be shown your chest and breasts,” says Maureen, a bridal hairstylist at Lady Maureen Salon in Mengo.

Every bride radiates true inner joy and beauty on her wedding day, and a degree of modesty in her dress will actually enhance her loveliness.

“A Catholic wedding ceremony is a sacrament that couples administer to each other,I went in search of Cheap Wedding Dresses with sleeves, modest necklines, and hems that hit at the knee or below. so it must be a ceremony of mutual consent. Therefore, the couple should be decent enough on D-day,” Fr. Josephat Ddungu, the assistant chaplain at St. Augustine’s Chapel, Makerere says.

It is not all about the Church deciding the wedding gown the bride is to wear so that she maintains her decency and modesty. It is also important to think about other people’s feelings,The store has offered an array of chinese embroidered wedding dresses to help students make a mark on the special occasion in their high school lives. for example your family and even your groom.
