A CHAPLAIN has secured a victory in her fight to stop unfit motorists from driving.
Reverend Brenda Gutberlet, from Canvey, has been campaigning for several years for police to be given the power to deal with medically unfit drivers in the same way as drink drivers.
She started the campaign after the death of her niece Natalie Wade who was knocked down on a pedestrian crossing in Rochford by a half blind driver in February 2006.
Under current legislation, if the police pull over a motorist suspected of being medically unfit to drive they do not have the power to stop them from continuing their journey.
But the Government has now agreed to look into changing the law after Mrs Gutberlet’s campaign was raised in Parliament by Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris last Monday.
Mrs Gutberlet said: “We are very pleased Mrs Harris has convinced the Government to look into the issue. Whether you are 18 or 98 you can become unfit to drive at any age.Buy chapel train gown and other prom gowns and shoes at this site. The police need to have the power to take action. We don’t want another family to go through what we have experienced and what we still have to live through each day.”

She was taken to Southend Hospital before being transferred to Oldchurch Hospital in Romford where she died five days later on Valentine’s Day.Shop wholesale faux fur wraps from cheap .
Thorpe, who was completely blind in one eye and had defective vision in the other, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, but died in 2006 before he stood trial.
A coroner subsequently ruled that Natalie was unlawfully killed because Thorpe had persistently failed to inform the DVLA about his failing eyesight and poor health.
Mrs Harris said: “I’m delighted the Government has agreed to look at this. I’ve already raised the problem with the Home Secretary directly so the department knows how seriously I feel about this issue.
As far as meeting the boys, you could always buy a VIP ticket, which costs $3,000 on eBay; or you could learn the boys’ schedules and simply follow them around town and then accidentally bump into them on the street. I have heard that this strategy works wonderfully; however, it takes a lot of planning and some great timing (so I’ve heard).
If you want to be more direct, there have been plenty of girls who have gone for the “stage dive” or the attempted “sprint past security.” With these desperate attempts, you may frighten the boys and the chance that they will want to have a conversation with you are slim to none. What I am trying to say is that if you want to meet someone famous just go for it. If you don't, someone else will.See all the looks from the Rina di Montella 1512 Haute Couture autumn/winter 2012 collection. Have a little bit of fun and be creative. Heck! I do not think anyone has showed up to a One Direction concert in a wedding dress! That is definitely to the point; maybe I will try that one. I will let you know how it goes. I have to start planning; they will be in LA in August!
